Angles and Angels

Posted by

angles of repose
and angles of refraction
decide when to stop

grind all the night long
remembering like we were young
Hey Jude on repeat

you told me after
I was your first when you spit
of Portnoy’s complaint

then hearing me belch
raised you were not to allow
here the line was drawn

gas was passed often
turning raspberries to laughs
prickly sweet who knew

improvement is nice
taking all in to account
what’s done was so fine

stars angled our lights
true cutting our dark in two
angels’ wings revealed.
