Strands of Time

Posted by

Lyric’s breeze across the ear

Couples clutch and hold each near

Numbers tickle, toy and twist the mind

Scotch clears the day unwind

Songs replace and steal the tension

Menus lubricate the tongue

Listening mends the melancholy

Imagined kisses caress tenderly

Painted ferris wheel, perhaps the last?

Castles celebrate the past

Maps give up to bobby’s nod

Roses paint the promenade

Two pulled up the cobbled hill

Team together share the will

Roundabouts, atonement we rejoice

Lives connected, fate or chance

River ancient transports us enchants

Highland wool makes warm our trip

Wine wets lips by careful sip

Experience embraces each sublime

Summer wove these strands of time.
