Tiny steps eager cross the floor
Wrap the night we sleep no more
Eager smiles and anxious eyes
Promise of the dawning skies
Garlands adorn bare walls with our delight
Poinsettias charm the season red and bright
Warm fire toasts small hands from the cold
Their Santa looms alive for them never old
Older non-believers, really wizened fools
Find renewal in these laughing smiling jewels
We each love the season, cherishing our past,
As parents, children, siblings, friends and lovers we will make it last.

Fake it til you make it, unless you’re already there, in which case feel free to share! It is a fun time!
